Over coffee one afternoon, a friend mentioned that our local library had put out a call for donated beanbags. It just so happened I had a stack of handmade covers sitting in storage from an old fundraising project, and I was more than happy to give them to her—all she needed to buy was the filling.

That’s when her partner chimed in from the kitchen with an absolute stroke of genius: "Or you could just fill them with the hundreds of clothes you never wear!"

I was blown away by how simple and clever that was. It’s such an easy, budget-friendly way to repurpose old wardrobe items or outgrown kids' clothes instead of letting them go to waste.
